Playing with only eight healthy players, the Boise State women's basketball team lost 68-58 to New Mexico Saturday afternoon in Boise's Taco Bell Arena.

Boise State trailed by as many as a dozen in the game but battled back to get within three points with 11 minutes remaining on a Lauren Lenhardt three-pointer, and within two points on Rosalie Cutrie's lay-in moments later but couldn't get past the Lobos.

New Mexico's Caroline Durbin led all players with 25 points in the win, while Lenhardt paced the Broncos with 17. Cutrie, filling in at point guard for the injured Diana Lee, poured in a career-high 16 points, but the team had to adapt a bit to her run-and-gun style as opposed to Lee's half-court mentality.

"We had to change a lot," head coach Gordy Presnell said. "We lost our athletes early in the season, and so we have to run a lot of sets and Diana (Lee) is very good at that."

Presnell said Lee and injured teammate Julia Marshall are day-to-day and could return to action Wednesday at Air Force.
