PARIS --?Centuries-old theological disputes have broken out in cyberspace as religions aim to influence the future presentation of faith on the Internet.
The forum for the rivalry is not the pulpit or church bulletin, but the website of ICANN, the corporation that oversees the Internet address system and now wants to expand it beyond the usual .com, .org or .net domains.
When ICANN began accepting applications for new names early this year, bids came for extensions such as .catholic, .islam and .bible. Not far behind were critics who challenged many applicants' right to monopolize those and other religious terms.
"I respectfully ask you not to award .bible to a bunch of hardcore Bible-thumpers," wrote one critic of an application by the American Bible Society to manage that extension.
Questioning a Turkish IT company's bid for the .islam domain, Fahd Batayneh of Jordan's National Information Technology Centre asked how it could ensure no pornographers or Muslim extremists would use names with this ending?
ICANN (www.icann.org), the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers, is accepting comments on these and other applications for another month and will then evaluate the bids for new extensions, known as top level domains (TLDs).
First results are due next summer. A group awarded a TLD can manage that domain exclusively, renting out addresses that use its extension and rejecting bids it considers unsuitable.
ICANN can't
The religious problems facing this 21st century project are as old as the schisms and heresies that have haunted faiths for ages. Who speaks for Islam? Does the Vatican have a monopoly on the word "catholic"? How should one interpret the Bible?
"I don't think I can solve issues that have been going on for centuries," Akram Atallah, interim head of ICANN, told Reuters by telephone from its Los Angeles headquarters.
"Our goal, at the end of the day, is to provide innovation in the domain name system."
Website owners are now restricted to a few dozen TLDs such as .com and country code domains such as .co.uk. Many of the 1,930 applications for new TLDs came from companies, including Internet giants such as Amazon and Google.
If there are rival bids for the same TLD, ICANN has panels of experts to consider legal, financial and technical factors in making the decision to award a domain name. A dispute resolution process exists if an losing applicant disagrees.
But there won't be geeks consulting Gospels to decide who can have a TLD such as .church.
"We don't look into whether the Vatican has the right to the .catholic name," Atallah said. "Hopefully, the process will get to a conclusion that is satisfying to the majority."
Saudis oppose, Christians squabble
Saudi Arabia, the birthplace of Islam, seems to see no hope of a consensus on religious TLDs and opposes them all.
Its Communications and Information Technology Commission filed 163 comments, opposing not only TLDs with Muslim terms such as Islam, halal and Shia but also Catholic and Bible.
It also criticized bids for sex, gay, wine, virgin, dating, porn and other terms that go against its strict moral code.
The Vatican's application for exclusive use of .catholic drew criticism from members of several Protestant churches who also use the term, which comes from the Greek for "universal".
"This request is a move by a powerful group to squelch the voices and rights of other Christians," wrote Dave Daubert, pastor of Zion Lutheran Church in Elgin, Illinois.
Some comments asked if the large Life Covenant Church, based in Oklahoma, would share the .church name it applied for with other Christians who did not hold its evangelical beliefs.
"If something as basic as the Ten Commandments can't be agreed upon, how can the TLD be operated fairly?" one asked.
The American Bible Society would share the .bible domain with "individuals and groups who, regardless of faith, have a healthy respect for the Bible," spokesman Geoffrey Morin said.
Clerics aren't the only ones trying to get into the game.
AGITSys, an Istanbul-based IT company, said it wanted to create "a quality online space for the Muslim faithful" with domain names such as .islam and .halal and would allow Sunnis, Shi'ites and members of other schools of Islam to use it.
"They didn't consult anybody in the Islamic community," said Batayneh from Jordan. "This application should have come from the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation in Jeddah."
Some religions seem to have kept out of the fray entirely. There were no applications for .buddhist, .hindu or .jewish.

Chrysler CEO Sergio Marchionne says muscle cars such as the Hemi-V8-powered Dodge Challenger will become "as rare as white flies."
By Paul A. Eisenstein, NBC News contributor
?After an unexpected delay, the White House has finalized the biggest jump in the Corporate Average Fuel Economy, or CAFE, standard since the government first set mileage guidelines in 1978.
As part of a broad compromise hammered out between the auto industry, environmental groups and government regulators, the fuel economy of the typical car, truck or crossover will nearly double between now and 2025, to an average 54.5 miles per gallon. That?s a more than 50 percent?jump, meanwhile, from the CAFE rules the Obama rules had previously approved for 2016.
?These fuel standards represent the single most important step we?ve ever taken to reduce our dependence on foreign oil,? Obama declared, while also cutting CO2 emissions by an estimated 50 percent.
But far less certain is the impact the new rules will have on the auto industry and on the motorists of 2025.? Naysayers have warned that, at 54.5 mpg, tomorrow?s cars will be smaller, largely battery-based and significantly more expensive.? Proponents of the CAFE increase dismiss such forecasts as fear-mongering and insist things will change less than people anticipate.
For his part, Chrysler CEO Sergio Marchionne believes the industry will be able to make the new target ? even though the rules do provide a mid-term analysis to ensure things remain on track.? A future administration could roll the numbers back if there?s trouble.
But Marchionne insisted, the new rules ?will change the way this industry operates,? adding his belief that, at 54.5 mpg, it will be difficult to continue producing high-performance vehicles such as the Hemi-V8-powered Dodge Challenger.? Such muscle cars, the executive warned, will become ?as rare as white flies.?
Maybe we?ll discover more white flies, countered analyst Jim Hall, of 2953 Analytics.? The industry veteran points out that automakers have been predicting the death of the V-8 since the first CAFE rules went into effect for the 1979 model-year.? Yet, he adds, today?s motorists can buy some of the most powerful automobiles ever produced, including the 1100-horsepower Bugatti Veyron and 600-horsepower versions of the Chevrolet Corvette and Ford Mustang.
The cars on the road by 2025 ?will change less than anybody imagines ? but more than anyone wants,? Hall suggested, explaining that, just as the industry has done every time new mileage rules have been passed, ?They will find a lot of new ways to do things.?
A great example is Chrysler?s new Dodge Dart. The compact sedan makes use of a new turbocharged four-cylinder engine, underbody panels and other aerodynamic improvements, and an advanced 6-speed transmission to boost fuel economy. And Chrysler will roll out a 9-speed automatic next year.?
Improved transmissions can add as much as 5 to 10% better mileage, industry engineers note, and are going into widespread use already. So is stop/start technology that automatically shuts off an engine instead of idling. The engine quickly restarts when the driver?s food lifts off the gas. On the upcoming Honda Accord that could boost mileage by 3% or more.?
A study by automotive supplier Ricardo, Inc., suggests a number of other likely steps makers will take to meet the new rules, such as:
General Motors recently invested in a start-up firm developing a way to produce significantly stronger, but notably lighter, steel.? BMW, meanwhile, has invested heavily in firms working to drive down the cost of producing ultra-light carbon fiber, a material widely used in supercars like the Veyron, and in Formula One race cars.
The real question is how much the industry will have to turn towards electrification.? Nearly every major maker now offers at least one hybrid-electric vehicle.? Toyota has promised to add a hybrid option to virtually all its models in the next few years. ?Ford?s new hybrid micro-van, the 2013 C-Max, will be able to get 47 miles per gallon in the combined city/highway test cycle.
A more advanced, plug-in hybrid version, the C-Max Energi, should get significantly better numbers when it comes out next year, the maker hints.? Most makers are also working on plug-ins or going all the way to battery-electric vehicles, such as the Nissan Leaf, with such products getting EPA ratings that approach 100 mpg-e, the ?e? standing for equivalent, the government using a complex formula to estimate how much battery power is equal to a gallon of gas.
Ironically, it?s the State of California, rather than Washington, that is actually driving the sudden rush to battery cars.? The powerful California Air Resources Board has set its own rules requiring a minimum number of so-called Zero-Emission Vehicles from all major automakers.? Those guidelines have been copied by a number of other states.
One reason why it?s unclear how much things might change by 2025 is that the new mileage rules are, to some degree, a figment.? The government operates two sets of books, in effect.? One is based on raw test data.? The other has been revised to reflect what vehicles will get in real-world conditions.? By that measure, expect passenger cars to average 45 mpg by 2025, light trucks 32.?
The other big uncertainty is cost.? GOP Presidential Candidate Mitt Romney has hoisted the banner of critics, some suggesting the new CAFE rules will result in price increases of up to $10,000 per vehicle ? as projected by Michigan Center for Automotive Research.? Skeptics have also warned the result will be lower car sales and fewer American jobs.
?Cars will get more expensive, that?s a given,? said analyst Hall, but like most observers he thinks the figure won?t be nearly as great.
Other studies, such as one from the Boston Consulting Group, put the increase at barely $2,000 to $3,000.? The government?s number is $2,800.? And regulators forecast motorists will save anywhere from $5,700 to $7,400 in gas during the life of those future vehicles.? That?s based on a gallon costing just $3.87.? Most energy experts predict fuel will rise to $5, even $6 or more a gallon before this decade ends, so the savings from the extra mileage could be substantially more.

Oil rose as Isaac gathered strength on its way into the heart of the Gulf of Mexico's oil and refinery operations.
The price got a boost after midday when forecasters said Isaac had strengthened into a Category 1 hurricane with 75 mph winds.
Benchmark oil rose 69 cents to $96.16 per barrel in New York as traders waited to see how much ? and for how long ? the storm's powerful winds and driving rains will affect oil production and refinery operations in the region.
Nearly 80 percent of oil production in the Gulf of Mexico, or 1.1 million barrels per day, has been halted. At least 1 million barrels per day of refining capacity is expected to be shut down, which is about half the refining capacity in the storm's predicted path. The U.S. consumes about 19 million barrels of oil products per day.
Isaac is expected to make landfall over southeastern Louisiana, possibly the New Orleans area, either late Tuesday or early Wednesday.
"We have to wait and see. A lot of refinery capacity was taken down and the key is going to be how the restart goes," said Andrew Lebow, senior vice president of energy derivates at Jefferies Bache LLC.
Refineries should escape significant damage if Isaac remains a Category 1 storm. The bigger issue is whether the refineries will have access to electricity. Some analysts say they could be up and running within hours without damage or a loss of electricity. Others say they likely will remain out of operation for about three days.
Price Futures Group analyst Phil Flynn said that oil producers will take more oil out of inventory in the coming weeks to make up any lost production. The storm also will slow imports of oil into the Gulf.
Pump prices continued to increase ahead of Isaac's landfall. The national average for a gallon of gasoline rose less than a penny to $3.756 per gallon, according to AAA, Wright Express and the Oil Price Information Service. That's nearly 4 cents more than a week ago.
Gas prices in Mississippi, Alabama, Florida and Louisiana ? states in Isaac's path ? have tallied even bigger increases.
In a related development, a fire was extinguished at Venezuela's biggest oil refinery after burning for three days, officials said. Oil Minister Rafael Ramirez said officials expect to restart operations in two days. The U.S. imports about 360,000 barrels per day of gasoline from Venezuela, which is delivered to the East Coast.
That helped sink gasoline futures. They fell 4 cents to $3.11 per gallon a day after rising nearly 8 cents.
Brent crude rose 2 cents to $112.28 in London.
In other energy trading:
? Heating oil was flat to $3.11 per gallon.
? Natural gas fell 3 to $2.62 per 1,000 cubic feet. The government estimated that about 48 percent of Gulf natural gas production has been suspended due to the storm.

Imagine that. After thirty years of right-wing leaders filling people's heads with all kinds of conspiracy theories, some people go off the deep end and decide the most patriotic thing to do is to blow some things up and kill the president. I wonder where they could have gotten that idea:
LUDOWICI, Ga. ? Four Army soldiers based in southeast Georgia killed a former comrade and his girlfriend to protect an anarchist militia group they formed that stockpiled assault weapons and plotted a range of anti-government attacks, prosecutors told a judge Monday.
Prosecutors in rural Long County, near the sprawling Army post Fort Stewart, said the militia group of active and former U.S. military members spent at least $87,000 buying guns and bomb components. They allege the group was serious enough to kill two people ? former soldier Michael Roark and his 17-year-old girlfriend, Tiffany York ? by shooting them in the woods last December in order to keep its plans secret.
?This domestic terrorist organization did not simply plan and talk,? prosecutor Isabel Pauley told a Superior Court judge. ?Prior to the murders in this case, the group took action. Evidence shows the group possessed the knowledge, means and motive to carry out their plans.?
One of the Fort Stewart soldiers charged in the case, Pfc. Michael Burnett, also gave testimony that backed up many of the assertions made by prosecutors. The 26-year-old soldier pleaded guilty Monday to manslaughter, illegal gang activity and other charges. He made a deal to cooperate with prosecutors against the three other soldiers.
Prosecutors said the group called itself F.E.A.R., short for Forever Enduring Always Ready. Pauley said authorities don?t know how many members it had.
Burnett, 26, said he knew the group?s leaders from serving with them at Fort Stewart. He agreed to testify against fellow soldiers Pvt. Isaac Aguigui, identified by prosecutors as the militia?s founder and leader, and Sgt. Anthony Peden and Pvt. Christopher Salmon.
Funny thing about Isaac Aguigui - although officials describe the plotters as an anarchist militia, he seems to have been a Republican four years ago, according to Gawker:
Isaac Aguigui, the Army private and alleged ringleader of a plot to assassinate Barack Obama and "take over" Ft. Stewart in Georgia, apparently served as a page at the 2008 Republican National Convention in Minneapolis, Minn. That's his mug shot after he was arrested for the alleged murder of Pvt. Michael Roark on the left. At right is a 2008 Reuters photo with the caption: "Republican National Convention page Isaac Aguigui watches from the edge of the floor at the start of the first session of the 2008 Republican National Convention in St. Paul, Minnesota September 1, 2008."
Of course, there could be two Isaac Aguiguis who look startlingly alike.

Sea ice in the Arctic has hit a record low, and scientists say that it could accelerate global warming.?
By Wynne Parry,?LiveScience Senior Writer / August 28, 2012
EnlargeLong-term thinning of Arctic sea ice combined with an intense, windy storm over the Arctic in early August contributed to a new record low for sea-ice extent, scientists said Monday (Aug. 27).

"It used to be?the Arctic ice cover?was like a big block of ice," said Walt Meier, a research scientist with the U.S. National Snow and Ice Data Center (NSIDC) during a press conference held after the new record low was set on Sunday (Aug. 26). "Now it's become crushed ice and that is a lot easier to melt and melt more quickly. Parts of the Arctic have become like a giant slushie. [That] makes them more vulnerable to these types of storms."
The storm persisted over the central Arctic Ocean for several days, bringing warm and very windy conditions to the Chukchi and East Siberian Seas, followed by low temperatures. Strong wind and wave action from storms like this can increase melt by breaking up ice, according to a NSIDC report following the storm.
On Sunday (Aug. 26), Arctic sea-ice extent fell to a new record: 1.58 million square miles (4.10 million square kilometers), surpassing the previous low, 1.61 square miles (4.17 square kilometers) set on Sept. 18, 2007, the NSIDC reported. [10 Things to Know About Sea Ice]
Sea-ice watchers?saw this coming, at least to some degree.
"As early as maybe July we were able to project that the 2012 ice cover will likely be similar to 2007, but then in August, when we have this storm, the values for 2012 started to go down lower," said Josefino Comiso, a sea ice researcher with NASA.
Sea-ice extent describes the area of ocean?covered at least 15 percent by sea ice?as measured by satellite instruments. Continuous satellite measurements of sea-ice extent date back to the late 1970s.
Sea-ice extent grows and retreats with the season every year. While there are significant fluctuations in this cycle from year to year, by the late 1990s satellite measurements indicated there was a strong downward trend in sea-ice extent, said Claire Parkinson a climatologist at NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, Md.
By the end of the 1990s, submarine data showed the ice was thinning as well, Parkinson said.
The old ice, which survives year after year and maintains thicknesses of 10 to 12 feet (3 to 3.6 meters), has been disappearing from the Arctic waters, Meier said. Now, Arctic sea ice has become thinner and is more easily melted or pushed around by storms, he said. "The Arctic Ocean is really a different place than it used to be," he said.
The loss of Arctic sea ice has serious implications for the animals ??polar bears?and walruses ? that use it as habitat.

ScienceDaily (Aug. 27, 2012) ? The Japanese earthquake and tsunami of 11 March 2011, which hit the north-east coast of Japan with a magnitude of 9.0 on the Richter scale, was one of the largest ocean-trench earthquakes ever recorded in Japan. The tsunami caused huge damage, including 15,861 dead and 3018 missing persons, and, as of 6 June 2012, 388,783 destroyed homes.
Following an investigation of the ambulance records made by doctors in the Miyagi prefecture, close to the epicentre of the earthquake and where the damage was greatest, cardiologist Dr Hiroaki Shimokawa and colleagues from the Tohoku University Graduate School of Medicine at Sendai, Japan, found that the weekly occurrence of five conditions -- heart failure, acute coronary syndrome (including unstable angina and acute MI), stroke, cardio-pulmonary arrest and pneumonia -- all increased sharply soon after the earthquake occurred.
Such reactions -- in ACS, stroke and pulmonary embolism -- have been reported before, said Dr Shimokawa, in Japan, China and the USA. However, these studies reported only the short-term occurrence of individual CVD events, and the mid-term CVD effects of such great earthquakes remain to be elucidated. To this end, the study examined all ambulance transport records in the Miyagi prefecture from 11 February to 30 June for each year from 2008 to 2011 (ie, four weeks before to 16 weeks after 11 March, a total of 124,152 records). Incidence records from before, during and after the earthquake disaster were compared, the aftershocks counted and recorded according to a seismic intensity of 1 or greater.
The number of aftershocks in the Miyagi prefecture was frequent during the six weeks after the earthquake, and the second peak was noted as a large aftershock on 7 April 2011 (magnitude of 7.0). Compared with the previous three years, the significant increases in the occurrence of heart failure and pneumonia were steadily prolonged for more than six weeks after the tsunami struck. On the other hand, the incident increases in stroke and cardio-pulmonary arrest followed the pattern of the first and aftershock seismic peaks. The rapid increases in the occurrence of acute coronary syndromes and cardio-pulmonary arrest was followed by a sharp and significant decline. Interestingly, said Dr Shimokawa, age, sex or residence area did not significantly affect the occurrences of CVD during or following the tsunami.
"To the best of our knowledge," he added, "this is the first report to describe the mid-term course of major cardiovascular events and pneumonia after a great earthquake in a large population. In particular, our findings provide the first evidence that the incidence of heart failure was markedly increased over a long period afterwards." Prevalence of pneumonia, a well known risk factor for deteriorating heart failure, was significantly increased.
The Tohoku University study also found -- as reflected in self-monitoring measurements -- that blood pressure was significantly elevated after the Earthquake. However, transport disruption following the tsunami interrupted delivery of regular medications, such as antihypertensive or antithrombotic drugs, and this may have contributed to the increased cardiovascular events. There was also an increase in the occurrences of ventricular tachyarrhythmias in patients with implantable cardiac defibrillators.
"Taken together," said Dr Shimokawa, "we consider that discontinuation of drugs, activated sympathetic nervous system, rising blood pressure, and the increased occurrence of tachyarrhythmia and infections were all involved in the increased occurrence of cardiovascular events after the Great Earthquake of Japan."

MIAMI (AP) ? Hurricane warnings have been issued for an area stretching from Louisiana to the Florida Panhandle as Isaac churns toward the Gulf Coast.
The warnings stretched from east of Morgan City, La. ? which includes the New Orleans area ? to Destin, Fla.
Isaac lashed the Florida Keys as a tropical storm on Sunday, bringing rain and strong winds. But residents for the most part took it in stride. However, preparations have begun farther north as forecasters warn Isaac could be a strong Category 2 hurricane by the time it reaches the Gulf Coast.
The U.S. National Hurricane Center in Miami says Isaac is expected to hit somewhere between southeastern Louisiana and the Florida Panhandle either late Tuesday or early Wednesday.

The key purpose of any presentation be it written, oral or visual, is communication. To communicate effectively, one must state your facts in a simple, concise and interesting manner. It is well proven that the people learn and retain more information when learning is supported by visualization. Effective presentations entertain, inform, excite and even shock the audience by the proper integration of visual images with the exchange of information.
?
?
The building-blocks of Effective Business Presentations are ?
?
1.) Subject is the Spine
Though an obvious point, it is vital that you research every nuance of your subject. Read reports and gatherlatest information on the subject is important. It becomes all the more important especially when giving a design presentation or proposal since you are ?selling? your ideas to the audience. When the subject is examined in detail, new ideas and alternative ways of thinking often strike. The ability to present a subject with confidence directly affects your audience?s impressions and will help keep their attention.
?
2.) The Audience Connect
A little research into the makeup of your audience will reap large benefits on presentation day.
For example, if you were speaking on behalf of a new construction project you would tailor vastly different presentations to an audience of engineers and a city council. Using terms which the audience can relate to, can do wonders.
?
3.) Structure your Script
The script does not necessarily have to be a work of literary excellence. The important part is it should convey the meaningful information correctly. The form of the script also depends on the formality of the presentation, the makeup of the audience and the presenter.Any presentation script, regardless of complexity is like any other business correspondence. It should consist of the same four basic parts, an opening, body, summary and closing.
?
4.) Rehearse ? Rehearse ? Rehearse
One cannot afford to go wrong during the presentation and on ?the-day? you would not like to lose grip on things. The final script and outline permit you to rehearse your presentation even before the visuals are completed. This assures that when your final images are prepared and ready, you will be as well.
If you?d like to really test your mettle, drag out the camcorder and tape your rehearsal. Just keep in mind, no one expects you to be Winston Churchill.
?
5.) Select your Weapons Wisely
Once the script is developed and the audience research is completed, this step should be simple. A five minute presentation to a three person audience is probably best made with handout material alone. For a large set of audience, using few simple overhead transparencies should be sufficient. If PowerPoint and similar charting and presentation software is a bit rich for your budget, you may find the free, open-source office suite, Open Office fits your bill perfectly.

The Subway diet promotes a healthy dietary plan that can be obtained from eating at the Subway fast food chain which when coupled with regular exercise can be an effective means of losing significant weight without and risk.
The Subway diet became highly popularized when it was found out how effective are the nutritious foods prepared in Subway, a leading food chain restaurant that serves a variety of less than 6 grams of fats of sandwiches.
The Subway diet is a part of a promotional advertisement of a fast food chain to gain publicity by promoting their seven types of sandwiches that contain 6 grams or less fat to be part of a healthy dietary lifestyle of every individual who are patronizing their sandwich outlets.
The Subway diet further became sensationalized when a man named Jared Fogle credited his weight loss from a heavy 425 pound weight down to a lighter 180 pound. He shared his amazing Subway diet plan consisting of eating the Subway sandwiches twice a day coupled with a nice long brisk walk daily.
More people were inspired by the Subway diet of Jared that several more people attested how the Subway diet worked well for them. The typical Subway diet consists of eating the Subway 6 gram fat sandwiches twice a day while being complemented with some forms of mild to moderate exercises such as walking and lifting weights.
The Subway diet promoted the healthy message that even fast food chains can be healthy food providers. The featured Subway sandwiches on the Subway diet are low fat with 6 grams or less fat spiced with onion, lettuce, meat, green peppers, pickles, tomatoes served with freshly baked bread.
The main flavors of the 7 Subway diet sandwiches are roast beef, ham, veggie delite, roasted chicken breast, Subway club, turkey breast and turkey breast and ham. Each Subway sandwich on the Subway diet is with a nutritional guide in order to know how much gram of fats and calories are there.
The Subway diet regimen seems to work with individuals who are framing their own diet programs such as Atkins and South Beach Diets from the foods they eat from fast food chains. The Subway low carbohydrate diet is most suitable for these types of dieting programs.
The Subway diet becomes a popular dietary program to some although there is no such thing as official Subway diet. This type of diet generally reflects a twice a day meal at the Subway food chain and eating their low carbohydrate and low fat sandwiches that must be coupled with exercise regimen.
The Subway diet won the recognition to be the first fast food chain that promotes a healthy line of food choices from their menu of sandwiches. The Subway diet proved that even fast foods can have a healthy alternative of finding a dietary meal regimen that is as effective as the other types of dietary programs while still being able to enjoy the hassle free way of fastfood life.

HANOVER, NH?According to students enrolled in professor Michael Rosenthal's Philosophy 101 course at Dartmouth College, that guy, Darrin Floen, the one who sits at the back of the class and acts like he's Aristotle, seriously needs to shut the fuck up.
Floen is known to make his insufferable comments during class at Thornton Hall. His fellow students describe Floen's frequent comments as eager, interested and incredibly annoying.

Back in 2008 in Beijing, Susan Francia brought home gold in the women?s eight rowing event. And Laura Bennett finished fourth in the women?s triathalon.
This year in London Francia again won gold with her eight indomitable teammates. These ladies prove themselves to be powerhouses of health and fitness again and again. While we know the training has a lot to do with it, Francia still swears that her supplements, especially ribose, make a big difference in her recovery and sustained energy.

?
Laura Bennett started strong and held her place in the top ten for most of her event, but fell behind in the final run. Though Bennett is a strong runner she fell from 10th at the end of the first lap to 17th by the finish. But here in Boulder where Bennett and her husband have made their home, we?re just as proud of her accomplishment as if she came in first.?
