Ashkelon Mall Closed for an Hour Due to Pepper Spray
(Thursday, August 2nd, 2012)A women assaulted a male in the Giron Mall in Ashkelon on Tuesday with pepper spray. It appears the pepper spray was pulled into the ventilation system and many shoppers began feeling eye and throat irritation. This forced the closure of the shopping center for an hour until the affect of the spray dissipated.
Two saleswomen got into a heated argument and one phoned her husband who responded to the call for assistance. Her colleague, with whom she was arguing, realized she should defend herself and ran to store and bought pepper spray, which she used against the husband upon his arrival.
Four shoppers were transported to a local hospital due to the effects of the offensive aerosol.
